Charles Kevin Kamau

Charles Kevin Kamau is a distinguished strategist and development professional, currently serving as Head of Strategic Partnerships, Private Sector Coordination, and Development Sector Relations at the Office of the Governor, County Government of Kilifi, Kenya.

He holds a BSc in Nursing and Public Health, a Postgraduate Diploma in Research Methods, and is pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) jointly at Guglielmo Marconi University (Italy) and Universidad Católica de Murcia (Spain).

He has further strengthened his expertise through certifications in Change Management, Project Management, and Science Communication, alongside over 100 professional courses in health financing, global health security, and strategic management.

Charles designed and implemented the Kilifi County Strategic Partnerships Framework, mobilizing over USD 7 million in investments across health, infrastructure, and manufacturing.

He led Kilifi’s first International Investment Conference, positioning the county as a national investment destination, and contributed to regulatory reforms as a member of the AUDA-NEPAD Panel of Experts on Health Products Manufacturing. His work includes spearheading Kenya’s Jitenge digital COVID-19 platform and managing USAID/CDC-funded programs.

Beyond government, Charles advises WHO, UNFPA, and IAVI, while mentoring youth at Coast Innovation Hubs and serving on boards including Kesho Kenya and Wangu Kanja Foundation.

Renowned for advancing public-private collaboration, he combines visionary leadership with operational excellence, fostering inclusive socio-economic transformation in Africa.
